What is Maison Castanié?
Maison Castanié is an independent lifestyle store and online shop inspired by the relaxed charm of French living. We carefully curate artisan food, deli produce, homewares, clothing, gifts and seasonal collections designed to be shared and enjoyed.
Whether you're looking for a special gift, a beautiful kitchen essential or authentic French pantry ingredients, we hope you'll find something to love.
Where are you based?
You'll find us at Milton of Crathes, near Banchory in Aberdeenshire, Scotland.
You can shop with us online across the UK or visit us in person to browse our deli, homeware, clothing and gift collections.
Do you have a physical shop?
Yes. Maison Castanié is both an online store and a bricks-and-mortar shop. Our customers enjoy visiting us for fresh deli products, artisan coffee and to discover our latest seasonal arrivals. Online store launches soon!
Do you offer Click & Collect?
Yes. Simply choose Click & Collect at checkout, and we'll email you as soon as your order is ready.
If you're local to Banchory or Aberdeenshire, it's a great way to shop online and collect at your convenience.
How long does UK delivery take?
We aim to dispatch orders within 1–2 working days.
Delivery times and costs are shown at checkout and may vary depending on the products you've ordered.

Do you deliver outside the UK?
At the moment, we primarily deliver within the UK.
If you're ordering from overseas, please email us before placing your order and we'll see whether we can arrange a one-off international delivery.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes. Many of our homewares, clothing and artisan food products make wonderful gifts, and we love helping create something special.
You can also include a personal message if you're sending directly to family or friends.
Do you create bespoke hampers and gift boxes?
Absolutely.
We specialise in creating beautifully curated gift boxes and artisan food hampers using products from across our deli and lifestyle collections. Whether it's a birthday, housewarming, Christmas or corporate gift, we'd be delighted to help.

Are your cheeses and charcuterie cut fresh to order?
Yes. Where possible, our deli products are prepared fresh for your order, helping to ensure quality and flavour.
Availability may vary depending on seasonal produce and artisan suppliers.
Do you stock seasonal French and artisan products?
We do.
Many of our suppliers are small independent producers, meaning some products are available only for a limited time. Throughout the year you'll find seasonal foods, preserves, homewares and gifts inspired by the changing seasons.
If you see something you love, we recommend not waiting too long.
Are your products handmade or artisan?
Many are.
We work with independent makers, family-run businesses and artisan producers wherever possible. Because of this, slight variations in colour, finish or appearance are completely natural and part of what makes each piece unique.
Will sold out products come back into stock?
Some items are part of our permanent collection, while others are seasonal or limited edition.
If a product is sold out, feel free to contact us and we'll happily let you know whether a restock is planned.
How do your clothing sizes fit?
We include sizing guidance on individual product pages wherever possible.
If you'd like advice before ordering, just get in touch and we'll do our best to help you find the right fit.
Can I return my order?
Yes. If you've changed your mind, you can return most unused items within 14 days of receiving your order.

Can I return food or deli products?
Unfortunately not.
For health, safety and food hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on perishable goods, including deli items, coffee and bakery products, unless they arrive damaged or faulty.
This does not affect your statutory rights.

What should I do if my order arrives damaged?
We're very sorry if that happens.
Please email us as soon as possible with your order number and, where possible, a photograph of the issue. We'll work quickly to resolve it in line with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Can I return an online order in store?
Yes.
If you're local, you're welcome to bring eligible online purchases back to our shop at Milton of Crathes. Please bring your order confirmation with you.

Absolutely.
We only collect the information needed to process your order, improve your shopping experience and, if you've chosen to sign up, send occasional newsletters.
